Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 1.5 lbs (680g) ground beef (or ground turkey/chicken for variety)
  • 1 small head cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 2 carrots, julienned or shredded
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 3–4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce or coconut aminos
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar or lime juice
  • 1 tsp ginger (fresh grated or powder)
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
  2. Add onion and garlic; cook 2–3 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add shredded cabbage and carrots. Stir-fry 4–6 minutes until cabbage starts to wilt but remains crisp.
  4. Stir in soy sauce, sesame oil, vinegar, ginger, and red pepper flakes. Cook 2–3 more minutes until well combined and heated through.
  5. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot.
