High-Protein Garlic Herb Steak Bites

These are juicy, tender steak bites in a flavorful garlic herb sauce with fresh cilantro. A quick, high-protein, low-carb dish ideal as an appetizer or main course.

Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 1.5 lbs (680g) sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 3 tbsp olive oil or avocado oil (divided)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (or to taste)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped (plus extra for garnish)
  • 1–2 tbsp lime juice or lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Pat steak cubes dry and season with salt, pepper, paprika, and oregano.
  2. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steak in batches 2–3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your liking. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add remaining oil, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes. Cook 30–60 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add butter and lime juice, stirring until melted. Return steak bites to the pan and toss to coat in the sauce.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in most of the chopped cilantro.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with extra cilantro.
