Ingredients (Serves 4)
- 1.5 lbs (680g) sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 3 tbsp olive oil or avocado oil (divided)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (or to taste)
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp butter
- ¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped (plus extra for garnish)
- 1–2 tbsp lime juice or lemon juice
Instructions
- Pat steak cubes dry and season with salt, pepper, paprika, and oregano.
- Heat 2 tbsp oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steak in batches 2–3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your liking. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add remaining oil, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes. Cook 30–60 seconds until fragrant.
- Add butter and lime juice, stirring until melted. Return steak bites to the pan and toss to coat in the sauce.
- Remove from heat and stir in most of the chopped cilantro.
- Serve hot, garnished with extra cilantro.
