🍲 How to Make Turmeric Chicken Soup

1️⃣ Sauté the Aromatics

Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add onion and cook until soft, about 4–5 minutes. Stir in garlic and ginger and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.

2️⃣ Bloom the Spices

Add turmeric and black pepper, stirring for 20–30 seconds. This step deepens flavor and activates the spices.

3️⃣ Add Veggies & Broth

Add carrots and celery, then pour in the chicken broth. Bring to a gentle boil.

4️⃣ Cook the Chicken

Add chicken breasts or thighs whole. Reduce heat and simmer for 15–20 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.

5️⃣ Shred & Finish

Remove chicken, shred with forks, and return it to the pot. Stir in peas and simmer 3–5 minutes more. Taste and season with salt.

6️⃣ Serve Warm

Finish with fresh herbs and a squeeze of lemon if desired. Serve hot and comforting.
